2nd Annual WERC Summit is in the books!
Over a year ago I submitted my first-ever proposal for a conference and was shocked that it was accepted. Today, I got to recreate the experience and present the workshop again.
This year’s Working to End Rape Culture Summit went brillantly. I had an incredibly attentive adience that asked thoughtful and engaging questions. We workshopped ideas, collaborated on campaigns for their respective campuses, and left with concrete ideas on how to grow their audience engagement.
Social media has the potential to make deep impacts for campus advocacy groups. I know this because I have experienced it first hand: Facebook groups that become family, Instagram stories that give self-care tips, Twitter conversations that provide links to resources. I am humbled and honored that I could help show these different advocacy groups some of my tips and tricks.
Below are my slides from the presentation. The information barely scratches the surface of what can be done with social media, so if you have any specific questions, let me know! If you would like help running your social media for a student organization or advocacy group, please contact me here! I’d love to answer your questions and walk you through how to make a marketing plan tailored for your community.
