Presenting at the Women’s March Convention on writing op-eds!

Our words have the power to change the world. And I truly believe that the words that will come from the group of feminists in my workshop will do just that. 

Over 100 women and nonbinary folks attended, “Writing the Feminist Future You Want to See,” and I had a BLAST. This group asked intelligent questions, brainstormed and outlined an op-ed, and planned how and where to pitch them. I can’t wait to see what they do. 

 I truthfully wasn’t sure what to expect from this convention. Certainly, the Women’s March is not above critique and there were aspects of this convention that drove me nuts. Yet I can say with certainty that I learned some valuable information that I will incorporate into my activism, feminism, and writing. 

I hope this workshop was just the start! I’d love to offer it to a much wider audience, maybe via Zoom! So, as always, stay tuned.
