Write the feminist future you want to see! Join Steph Black to learn how to form a thoughtful argument, support your point, and get your pieces published. By using our voices, we can take a stand against injustice. Whether you want to start a blog, write for your local newspaper, or be accepted by a national publication, this session will give you all the tips and tricks you need to make it happen.

Goals:

1. Learn how to craft a thoughtful and compelling argument that will hook readers;
2. Discover how to support your argument using personal experience, facts, reporting, and more; and
3. Master the art of a good pitch to get your work accepted by any publication.

Takeaways:

Participants will leave this session with a thesis, an outline, and a drafted pitch email. While there won’t be time to actually write their op-eds in this session (unfortunately!), you will leave with everything just short of a draft.

You will receive an email from me in the days before the virtual session. All sessions will be held on Zoom. Please contact me for any accessibility needs. The workshop is approximately 90 minutes.
