A New Chapter
Interrupting your day for some big life updates! This has been an incredible summer full of hard decisions, advocating for myself, taking breaks, and spending meaningful time with the people who are most important to me. After a lot (a LOT) of long conversations with friends, mentors, and loved ones, I am making some big changes. Today is my last day at National Council of Jewish Women. The last 18 months have been quite the journey, starting as the Special Projects Associate and getting only two weeks in the office before the start of the lockdown. Since then, I’ve been extraordinarily proud to have become the Communications Specialist, launch Rabbis for Repro, become a member of the UN, write a Jewish text that was read by the Second Gentleman, and so much more. I’m deeply going to miss advocating, marketing, and kicking ass with my amazing colleagues. And, I am thrilled to head into my next chapter. Stay tuned for some major website redesigns, the launch of some very cool new projects, returning to old projects, and more. I’ll be freelancing, consulting, etc. The ownership of my time, creativity, and output is something I haven’t had for a long time and I can’t wait to return to that scrappy mindset! A fuller list of all of the services I plan to offer will be available shortly. I’m also on the lookout for part-time work! I would love spend 20-25 hours a week doing communications, advocacy, and research relating to abortion access or related areas. If you have any leads, please send them my way! Lastly, I’m still pretty behind on emails! I took all 100 hours of my vacation this summer and have been very intentional about taking breaks from constant emails, posting on social media, and even sending out my newsletter. Taking this extra-long break has given me the room to do some plotting and planning but has also meant that I am having a hard time catching up to it all. So *please* feel free to send me a text or follow-up email, I will get to it this week! Cheers to a new chapter!
